Most claims are won or lost in the first two days. A short checklist you can actually follow from a hospital room.

Report the event immediately

Notify the insurer or us as soon as the event happens. The limitation period runs from when you knew or should have known; delay is a real risk, not a formality.

Photograph every document the day you get it

Invoice, itemised bill, diagnosis, discharge summary, examination and imaging reports. A photo taken at the bedside is worth more than a memory a month later.

Confirm the provider status

If possible, confirm before a procedure whether the hospital is a designated provider for your plan, because that decides the settlement route.

Keep proof of payment and the date

The claim needs evidence you paid. A bank record with the date is the cleanest proof.

Note the policy number and claim reference

Write down the policy number, the insurer's claim line, and any reference at the point of admission, so the file starts clean.

This guide is general explanation, not advice on a specific policy. The contract wording always governs, and the insurer's own platform is where any application or claim is made.
