Who this is for

Two situations, two different starting points

The rules differ sharply depending on which side of the border you are on. We start there, every time.

How it works

From an unclear situation to a decision you can defend

Five steps. Nothing is submitted to an insurer until you choose to proceed.

1. Tell us the situation

Where you live, what you are covered by today, what worries you, and what you want the money for.

2. We map the gaps

Social insurance, employer cover and any existing policies are read together, so the remaining gap is the real one.

3. We explain the eligible structures

Written brief on which product categories are open to you, and what the wording in each of them actually means.

4. You apply, we prepare the paperwork

You submit the application yourself on the insurer's platform. We assemble the documents and answer what comes back.

5. We stay on the file

Renewals, reviews and claims are handled by the same person who explained the terms in the first place.

Services

What we do after the policy exists

Explaining the terms stops being useful the moment the contract is signed. Most of our work happens after that.

🧭

Needs assessment

Household composition, the cities you actually use, the currency of your income and your spending, and the gap you are trying to close. The output is a written brief — not a recommendation to buy.

📑

Term-by-term explanation

The same product category is structured differently across insurers. We explain what the definitions, exclusions, waiting periods and claim conditions mean in practice, so you can read a policy you were shown without an interpreter.

🩺

Health declaration briefing

Most claims problems start at the application. Before anything is submitted, we walk through what each health question is asking, what a truthful answer means, and which answers are likely to lead to an exclusion or an adjusted premium. You answer it yourself, in your own words.

📮

Application paperwork

Which documents the insurer will ask for, what each one is for, and how to assemble the medical records without losing track of them. The submission itself is made by you on the insurer's own platform — we prepare, you submit.

🔔

Renewal and policy review

Renewal dates tracked, medical-underwriting anniversaries flagged, and an annual review of whether the cover still matches the household. A policy that no longer fits is worth knowing about before it renews.

🧾

Claims support

The document list for your specific case, the correct submission route, the translation or certification requirements, and follow-up through to a decision. The claim is filed by you with the insurer; we keep the file moving.

Common questions

Asked more often than anything else

Your employer enrols you in the statutory employee social insurance scheme, which covers the basic layer. Most people add commercial cover because statutory cover does not cover private hospital rooms, advanced treatment, or the full cost of a serious illness. There are also cases where your home country's social security agreement changes what you pay — worth checking before you buy anything.
In general, a Chinese citizen who keeps their nationality can continue contributing to the basic pension scheme while abroad, and can apply for the pension once they reach the statutory retirement age, subject to the contribution and residence rules of the local scheme. Whether an individual can complete the contribution personally, without a mainland employing entity, varies by locality — check with the local social insurance bureau before you assume.
No. Basic medical insurance does not pay for treatment incurred abroad, and cross-border filing channels do not cover overseas providers either. What it can do is settle treatment obtained when you return to mainland China, once you have filed for cross-provincial outpatient settlement and used a designated institution. For cover that travels with you, private medical insurance is the mechanism.
Usually yes, but the conditions are specific rather than generic. Common requirements include a work visa or residence permit, a permanent residence card, or a fixed residential address in mainland China. Some plans suspend cover once you have spent a long period outside mainland China. Premium is generally paid from the policyholder's own account, and an intermediary may not collect it from the client's account.
Savings-oriented products are generally more accessible to overseas buyers than pure protection products, because they depend less on residence conditions. Payment still has to work — premium normally comes from an account in the applicant's own name, and the remittance has to comply with individual foreign exchange rules. If a policy has cash value, it also falls within the scope of automatic exchange of tax information.
